Recycling Reminder
Effective January 1st, 2013, Waste Industries (252 633-2175) began collecting all residential recycling under an updated set of requirements. Recyclables will only be collected according to the schedule set under the new guidelines which were sent out late last year. You can pick up a copy of the new guidelines at Town Hall. Please adhere to the list of acceptable and unacceptable items and make sure that all recyclables are placed in an acceptable container. Thank you! Trash Reminder Effective February 13, 2018, Waste Industries (252 633-2175) will be collecting all residential trash. Please be sure to have the correct stickers attached and follow the guidelines issued in the letter to all residents sent out late last year. Thank you for your cooperation! DID YOU KNOW?
Although Bridgeton is one of the smallest towns in the area, we have rules and regulations just like our bigger relatives. Please help us keep our Town neat, clean and safe by observing the following: Dogs must be on a leash, collar or chain; Clean up any “deposits” made by your pet; No open burning within Town limits; Take Pride in Bridgeton, don’t litter; Only one unregistered vehicle per property, and it must be behind the house or not in plain view; Permits are required for all construction and/or alterations, if in doubt contact Town Hall, we offer “one-stop” service. Business Registrations are required for all businesses, obtain them at Town Hall; Flood Plain and Zoning Ordinances need to be met, further information is available at Town Hall; Trash pick-up is every Wednesday and stickers are required. Stickers can be purchased at several local businesses including the Shell station on Highway 17, further information is available at Town Hall; Recycling is also picked up on Wednesdays, place your container at the curb, further information is available at Town Hall; Leaf and limb pick up is provided. Please leave them on the curb line, please don't put out anything that is more than 6 feet long or 3 inches in diameter - if you are using an outside contractor, they are responsible for their own removal; Sewer service is disconnected when bills are over 30 days past due. Residents of Bridgeton are invited to participate in the Community Watch Program. All interested residents are cordially invited to attend and learn more about the group and how it can help to keep our Town safe. It's also a great opportunity to meet your neighbors. Meetings are generally the last Tuesday of each month. |
